About the Artist
Mike Bennett is an accomplished artist and educator with over 26 years of teaching experience in the Yucaipa/Calimesa School District. Inspired by artists like Jon Gnagy, Norman Rockwell, and Andrew Wyeth, Mike's work reflects a commitment to detail and craftsmanship. He earned a Bachelor of Arts Degree from California State University, San Bernardino in 1978, attended the Pacific Institute of Commercial Art in Los Angeles in 1982, and received a Teaching Credential in Fine Arts from the University of Redlands in 1999. Mike's art has been featured in galleries and shows across southern California, and he has completed numerous commissions for portraits, landscapes, pets, and illustrations for individuals and corporations. His work has been published internationally on postage stamps, jigsaw puzzles, book covers, magazine covers, and more. Mike is married to his wife Rene' since 1981, and they have three daughters, all teachers, who are married to wonderful husbands. Together, they have six grandchildren. Mike sees his artistic talent as a gift from God and continues to create meaningful and inspiring art.
