About the Artist

Art has always been an integral part of Judith Zimmerman's life. She attended art school throughout adolescence, where she painted with oils and pastels and worked in the darkroom with black-and-white images. As an adult, she trained as a psychologist and incorporated art and photography into her practice, helping clients access their creative potential for healing. Early retirement from psychology allowed her to focus on digital photography and painting over the past fifteen years. Zimmerman's photographs have been published in numerous calendars, including those by the Sierra Club and Audubon. Her work has also appeared in National Geographic Kids and Ranger Rick magazines. Additionally, her images have been featured on posters, cards, and in books. She has won multiple awards and exhibited her work in galleries across Chicago, Seattle, Pennsylvania, Jackson Hole, Japan, and Salt Lake City. She teaches photography workshops and has presented at photo symposiums, primarily in the western United States, where she now resides.
