Janell Genovese graduated from Pratt Institute of Brooklyn, N.Y. with a BFA in Graphic Design and Illustration. She spent the next eleven years working as a designer/illustrator in advertising and publishing. Her experience in art direction inspired her to make the transition to a full-time illustrator. Janell's work has been featured in many publications including The Boston Globe, The New York Times, Teen, American Girl, and Nick Jr. Magazine. You can also see her work in the children's book Sienna's Scrapbook published by Chronicle Books. Her illustration has a fresh and fun style. Gouache is used to produce a vibrant and contemporary color palette.
