I have enjoyed the wonders of nature from an early age, exploring coastline, mountains and open fields in Los Angeles where I grew up. (Honest, there used to be open fields in Los Angeles) Photography is an excellent teacher as I research new destinations & species to photograph. Having lived in many areas of the country (California, Nebraska, Ohio, Mississippi, Tennessee, New Mexico, Washington) – and traveling worldwide has increased my awareness of the interconnectedness and fragility of the natural world. Present home base of Tennessee has been one of the most diverse and beautiful environments. My hope is that my photography inspires in others an enhanced appreciation of all this planet has to offer Honored to have received an award at BBC International Wildlife Photographer of the Year (honorable mention in The World in our Hands division), National Wildlife Federation finalist, regional and local competitions. Published extensively in textbooks, calendars, field guides, magazines.
