When I am working on a piece, I know I am on the right track when I start to have a playful sense of weaving the parts and pieces together, like completing a puzzle. I love the process of combining many small parts into a unified whole.
If I am creating a mandala, a poster, a paper mache bowl, or a collage of painted paper, the process is similar. My intention is always the same: to create something that is joyful, colorful, inspiring, happy, and interesting to look at.
My favorite tools are colored pencils for drawing and hand-made painted papers, gold thread, and a beads for a collage. I also enjoy recycling various materials and adding found objects to collages and paper mache' bowls.
Our creativity nourishes us; whether we are cooking a meal, planning a vacation, decorating our homes or even an organizing our desk; creating and sharing those creations with each other is one of the simple joys of life.
