For Michael Furman, a life-long love of photography turned into a thirty year professional career working with prestigious automotive clients and their agencies. Michael is an expert in this area, having shot for Volvo, Nissan, Mercedes and many others for important product launches.
His true specialty is studio lighting, and photographing pre-war coach built autos such as Bugatti, Pierce Arrow, Cord, DuPont, Minerva, Rolls-Royce, Scarab, Kissel, LaSalle, Chrysler, Delahaye, Delage, Duesenberg, Bentley, Cadillac, Lincoln, Alfa Romeo, Mercedes Benz, Packard, Auburn, Talbot Lago…and on and on. In addition to this impressive list, he also excels at shooting race cars, American 50's classics, sports cars and modern dream cars.
Michael has released a number of books, and recently has been recognized for shooting Ralph Lauren's remarkable car collection for the exhibition "Speed Style and Beauty: Cars from the Ralph Lauren Collection" (March 6th-July 3, 2005) at the Museum of Fine Arts, Boston.
